Matmora is the place where the mighty Brahmaputra river has taken revenge like thing, on the poor people who lives there and nearby. Mrinal Doley belongs to that local area. Assam Govt. failed many times to prevent the mighty Brahmaputra to wash away the embankment of Matmora and so it flooded whole the area for more than 15 to 20 years. At last with the help of Central Govt. the embankment was blocked by using Geo Tubes by a Malaysian Company. It was the first time in India
Describing the situation then and now Mrinal worked on an album named Matmora. Two songs, one modern and a folk describes whole about the people and the place of Matmora. Modern was sung by Mrinal himself and the folk was sung by Kunjalata Kaman Doley. Local news papers like Pratidin & Amar Asom supported the album and wrote embracing comments on the project on 16th Oct/2010. Many T.M.P.K. leaders also supported and blessed him for it, and requested to compose more songs like that in his future. Specially Johan Doley, President of TMPK and Lalit Payen renown actor of Mising Tribe appreciated him.
